Munich, January 26th 2022 – FlixMobility is setting the course for the future by changing its legal form from a GmbH to an SE and restructuring its management more than ten years after its founding. The new, three-member executive board will consist of co-founders André Schwämmlein (CEO) and Daniel Krauss (CIO) as well as Christoph Debus, who will be the company's new CFO at the beginning of March 2022. The previous co-CEO and co-founder, Jochen Engert, will move to the supervisory board as of April 1, 2022. With the restructuring, the company is repositioning itself for its ambitious goals based on its vision of offering sustainable and affordable mobility worldwide.

New Executive Board, New CFO

CEO André Schwämmlein and CIO Daniel Krauss will form the future Executive Board together with Christoph Debus, who will be the company's new CFO starting at the beginning of March 2022.

André Schwämmlein will lead the business units FlixBus and FlixTrain, the commercial functions as well as communication, government relations and sustainability.

As CIO, Daniel Krauss will be responsible for the areas of Technology and People Management.

In addition, Christoph Debus will take over the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the beginning of March 2022. In this position, he will be responsible for all financial and legal functions of the company. Christoph Debus is an expert in the mobility industry and has held numerous interdisciplinary executive positions in the capital market that go beyond the classic CFO role.

He was previously CEO of Thomas Cook Group Airlines and most recently CFO at Condor, where he successfully repositioned the company. He succeeds Christian Rummel, who has left FlixMobility. FlixMobility thanks Christian Rummel for the good cooperation and wishes him all the best for the future.

New Supervisory Board

Jochen Engert, who founded the company together with André Schwämmlein and Daniel Krauss and led it as co-CEO, moves to the supervisory board as of April 1st as FlixMobility finalizes the GmbH's change of legal form to an SE. The chairman of the supervisory board is Achim Berg.
