FlixMobility announces new Director of Communications and Public Affairs, CSR structure relaunched

Munich/Berlin, 27 January 2021 – Andrea Koepfer joined international travel tech platform FlixMobility with its brands FlixBus, FlixTrain and FlixCharter as Director Communications, Public Affairs (PA) & Responsibility (CSR), on 1 January 2021. In this role, in addition to internal and external communications, she will steer the mobility company’s CSR and public affairs strategies across 35 countries, reporting to André Schwämmlein, Founder and CEO.

With Koepfer, FlixMobility is appointing to its senior management team a woman who brings experience from multiple international, complex and listed companies. Through her communications consultancy Vibrantbold Communications, she has already been advising FlixMobility since May 2020 and is now moving into management. She will continue to advise select clients and projects.

Bringing together communication, public affairs, and sustainability, which were previously managed separately within FlixMobility, guarantees the efficient orchestration of internal and external communication. It also ensures the coordinated set up and roll-out of political work and the CSR strategy, supporting the company, which has set an ambitious goal of climate neutrality by 2030.

After holding positions at AxelSpringer, Epson and QVC, Koepfer most recently held the same responsibility as Vice President Communications, Public Policy & Sustainability for Ceconomy AG and MediaMarktSaturn.
